Christmas at Phoenix!
Our first Christmas treat, Cinderella, a pantomime by M&M Productions.
Cinderella
Our first Christmas treat was yesterday, with our yearly pantomime, delivered by the fantastic M&M Productions. The children thoroughly enjoyed Cinderella - in fact, they joined in so loudly, I am surprised you couldn’t hear them from your houses! 😊We have already booked them again for next year, when they will perform Beauty and the Beast.

Infection Control
Some of you will know - there is a particularly contagious bout of Diarrhoea and Vomiting going around the Enhanced Provision. We have taken advice from both the School Nurse and also the Health Protection Agency. They strongly recommend that we put in place the following measures in order to stop transmission as quickly as possible and also prevent the reinfection of pupils and staff across the school.
We kindly ask for your support in strictly following the steps below:
- All children are being supported to wash their hands with soap and water in the first instance. Hand gel is good for stopping the spread of respiratory illness, but not as effective for D&V.
- Enforcing a strict 48-hour absence from the last occasion of diarrhoea and/or vomiting.
- They have also asked that at this time if a child feels unwell in the morning that they stay at home, rather than wait and see if they feel better once at school.
- No soft toys to be brought to school.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Pokemon Cards There has been some upset and arguments at school over Pokemon cards, and they have also been distracting children from their learning. Therefore, children are not to bring Pokemon cards to school. I would appreciate your support with this. Thank you in advance.
